Today’s Sketchpoop Part I

Survival

Survival.

It is one of mankind’s legacies, to be able to strive forward in desperate times and finding the balls to do what it takes.

Well, this is what yours truly had to go through. After having two coffees for breakfast and then skipping lunch due to the fact that I had only 2.85 today (which was of course used to get home), I realised I needed to forage through the great unknown that was my storage cupboard and the Narnianite environment that is my fridge.

I present to you the fruition of my labour.

Today’s Office Sketches

SO today I was reading up on how to improve as an illustrator because more than ever, I’ve realised that I REALLY HATE THE ADVERTISING INDUSTRY.

Okay, okay I don’t hate the advertising industry, we’re just not talking right now. 

I mean, I love the innovativeness and the beauty of the messages of advertising but the more I think about it the more icky and unethical it all is. You know? 

I’d really prefer to be an illustrator… because one day *if* I become good enough, people will come to me.

Idealistic, I know. 

So here I am fantasizing abotu what I’d rather be doing during working hours. 

 

What I usually do is go to a random phrase generator and try to sketch ideas from that so here it is  

The phrase: Utility Incompetence

If you don’t know what a spork is, that *is* utility incompetence my friend.

 

The next phrase: Beaten Machinery.

I loved this one because this is exactly how I feel about the effing computer that I have to use at work. Waddup. 

 

And finally, just something I felt like sketching.

The Witch

My newest. I’m redoing the Wicked Witch of the West and maybe Glinda… but I do love the villains though.

I’m a bit unsure about this one but I love her hairrrr
